I was extremely blessed to grow up in a wonderful Christian home with incredible parents and three irreplaceable brothers. I really wanted a sister growing up and even begged my parents for one! It wasn't until later in my life I realized that God knew exactly what He was doing, as He always does, by not giving my a sister. Now I am blessed with two wonderful sister-in-laws, two nephews, and a niece.
When I was 12 years old, I committed my life to Christ and was baptized into His Body. Without a doubt, being a Christian is the most important decision in life. We will either be a slave to sin or righteousness. (Romans 6:17-18) Choose righteousness!
Ladies in Waiting has had an enormous impact in my life over the last five years! Deborah, Rebekah, and I were not even looking to start a ministry, but were compelled to when it become so obvious to us what a need there was to encourage young women to live a life of purity. It has been such a blessing to minister to single young women and to see God at work in their lives!
I have my Bachelors degree in the science of nursing and I am a registered nurse at a dialysis clinic. I really like the fact that nursing is a service profession. It is a wonderful feeling helping people in some of the hardest times of their lives. God has really blessed me in my profession and I frequently get to see first hand what fulfilling the marriage vow "in sickness and in health" really looks like. My patients teach me so much. If any of you ladies out there are interested in nursing, or are nurses, and want to have "nurse talk," please feel free to e-mail me!!
My hobbies include traveling, scrapbooking, snorkeling, nutrition, fitness, reading and, of course...Ladies in Waiting activities!
